"after" picture

here is the "after" picture of tayt after he got his haircut, this is a few days later. isn't he adorable!!

happy new year

christmas was nice! we were able to visit everybody. it took a bit of traveling (draper, smithfield, bear lake, and driggs) i'm glad to be back home and get back into normal routine. and stop eating all that food. tayt enjoyed opening his presents more than i thought he would. for his birthday which was only about a month and a half ago, he didn't care to open his presents. but for christmas he was rippin' them right open. it's new years eve tonight, and were not doing much. we opted to just stay home this year. we did go out to lunch and to a movie though. but were just hanging out at home now. well i hope you all have a happy new year. and good luck with your new years resolution if your making one.

photo shoot

I did my first official photo shoot a few weeks ago. I say official because it wasn't family, and I got paid. I do know the people though, there my friends family. They wanted me to take some christmas pictures of there family. And then I also just took some of there little girls, which is my favorite to do. I have so much fun photographing little kids. It is harder because a lot of the times they don't really take directions, and it's hard to get them to even look at the camera, and smile and look at the camera the same time, hardly ever!! But I love it. Here is a few of my favorites....

New Hair Cut

Tayt got his first official hair cut. Well actually he's had his hair cut several times before but never in a salon. I was getting my hair done at my sister in laws salon so I thought Tayt could use a trim. And he freaked out and hated it all! He was crying to the point that he got hysterical, and was holding his breath. He's a bit of a drama "king" when it comes to being contained. Which I think he gets that from me, I'm chlosterphobic, and don't do well with that either. He also hates to have his diaper changed and get dressed. He just freaks out when he can't move where he wants. Other than that he's super sweet. But definatly goes over board with the screaming when that happens. I wanted to get an "after" picture once he was done, but that didn't work well. He just wanted to burry his face in me, so I let him and didn't get a picture. I'll get one later. He looks so cute and grown up!

So i've been posting blogs on another site, but i think i'll try it here. this site seems to be the place to blog. were getting really excited for christmas around here. i've basically got all my shopping done. i do need 1 or 2 more gifts but that's all. tayt doesn't really get the idea of presents yet. for his birthday he got some nice presents and all he wanted to play with was this little robot arm. my sister in law gave him some robots that you can take apart and switch around body parts and he just liked the arm. i think because it's small and fits in his hand.
for christmas this year we'll be busy. we'll be in SLC for x-mas eve. then we'll head back to our house that night. then x-mas morning we'll go out to my parents. after we spend the afternoon there we will be heading up to bear lake to the cabin. we'll spend the night up there and then the next afternoon we will drive to driggs, and spend the rest of the week there. but this way we get to see all the family. and i don't mind the traveling, jakes drives, i munch on junk food, and tayt sleeps.
